Hi, I’m Aniek, an English-Dutch millennial based in the Netherlands, and I’m endlessly intrigued by the world of work. Since entering the 9-to-5 life, I’ve discovered that school barely prepared me for the complexities of navigating careers, managing work-life balance, and building meaningful professional relationships. Eight years into my journey—and still experimenting with roles across business, government, and education—I’ve learned that there’s no perfect roadmap for success; everyone’s figuring it out as they go. This blog is a place to candidly share my experiences, insights, and the ups and downs of work life. Delivering training programs and guidance on professional development skills and career exploration for diverse groups, including individuals receiving benefits through municipal programs and students at vocational education colleges. These sessions aim to empower participants with essential skills for navigating the job market, making informed career choices, and enhancing their personal and professional growth.

OFFICE & CULTURE MANAGER

Since 2017, I have worked with various start-ups to establish and shape their office and organizational culture operations. My role involved creating and sustaining an efficient work environment, fostering a positive company culture, and strengthening internal communication. I developed policies, crafted and delivered corporate messaging, managed budgets, and streamlined the employee onboarding process. Additionally, I organized company events and took on a range of project management responsibilities, contributing to the overall growth and cohesion of each organization.
